Beer, Music, and Sustainability? A Trio Made in Paradise

A spring music festival in the heart of Atlanta? Hold my beer! Beer festivals are great, but this is something more. This festival unites music, art, culture, and a celebration for Earth Day for a weekend-long event that gives ticket holders an experience of a lifetime. In an effort to promote sustainability and eco-friendliness, educational workshops, ridesharing, an onsite trash compactor, and fundraising competitions for local charities will be held in the beautiful Centennial Olympic Park. Centennial Olympic Park was the site of 1996 Summer Olympics and continually invites entertainment, people, and events year-round. Using a location with a history of epic events, Sweetwater 420 Festival will be sure to live up to expectations and offer a wide range of activities. Sweetwater Brewing Company is an Atlanta-based brewery that created Sweetwater 420 Festival after their most popular brew, Sweetwater 420. Man cannot survive on beer alone (though we won’t judge you if you try), therefore, Sweetwater Brewing Company will be partnering with some awesome food vendors and artisans as well.

This 2019 lineup features some southern music royalty. Moon Taxi hailing from Nashville, the Avett Brothers a staple from North Carolina, and Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit traveling from Florence, Alabama are some of the notable Southern artists. Widespread Panic, from the neighboring city of Athens, GA will be joining the festival for an impressive 4 sets spread across 2 nights. Featuring a range of genres from blues, Americana, folk, jazz, funk, and rock there will be much variety for fans to enjoy. Don’t see something for you? Not to worry, there’s also 420 Disco which is an audiovisual dance music experience with live performers.

This year’s installment of Sweetwater 420 Festival (its 15th Anniversary no less) will take place from April 19th-21st. In addition to the amazing lineup, Sweetwater Brewing Company will be hosting a 5K on April 20th, which includes a free beer after the race with registration. You can purchase tickets, VIP Passes, register for the 5k, or buy 5k + Admission combo tickets now at https://www.sweetwater420fest.com/tickets/.
